Learn why people aren't able to find the match they are looking for and understand what the causes of the problems that are leading the divorce are.

Yaser Birjas is originally from the holy land of Palestine and was born in Kuwait. He graduated as class valedictorian with the highest honors from University of Madinah's College of Shariah (Fiqh and Usul) in 1996. He had the honor to interact and learn from a number of highly respected scholars such as Shaikh Ash-Shanqitee and Shaikh Al-Uthaimeen (rahimahu Allah).

After graduating from the University of Madinah, Yaser Birjas went on to work as a youth counselor and relief program aide in war-torn Bosnia. Thereafter, he immigrated to the U.S. where he is presently an Imam (spiritual leader and advisor) at The Islamic Center in El Paso, Texas. He is also an instructor at AlMaghrib Institute, an organization that provides trademark double-weekend seminars leading its students towards a bachelor's degree in Islamic Studies.

  • Asalamu alaikum brothers and sisters, my advice to you is, you won't know the baraka of being marriage until you get marriage for the sake of Allah(t)! If you do so, just for Allah, he will bless the marriage and your children!I just got to know that now, there is nothing better than having a family you share life with! Don't follow the non-muslim, please! I swear by Allah, you will get to love each other, if you follow Allah's rule! This non muslim society are leading people to autodestruction

  • @tijan07 The beliefs in this video are amazing, but the problem is that North Americans will never put them into practice. We are becoming sexually perverted, and our children are being raised without fathers, and we get all of our beliefs from 'Sex and the City' and 'Jersey Shore'. We don't know what love is anymore. Our society is fucked.

  • @Muslim4Lyfe64 U can go to a skeikh and tell him about ur problem he may arrange a marriage for u, the problems with many muslim mens is they all want a prfect woman which doesn't exist don't marry someone for their looks rather for thesir Deen, love is a strange thing, suitability is the right word, have faith, Inshallah I will get married next year when I am 18 (arranged marriage) My own free will

  • It is a real crisis-marriage. I don't even mean the being married part, but finding a wife the halal way and getting married the halal way.

Subhan'Allah, one brother on Facebook said it is easier to go out and find a girl to commit zina with for one night than to fight a woman to marry and I think that's true. I know for myself, as a brother it has been hard trying to find a sister and I am trying to do it the halal way. I pray Allah gives me sabr and a good muslimah wife.

  • It 's more difficult to stay married than it is to get married.

  • It's important to stay cognizant of these issues/concerns and maintain an open mind when it comes to the notion of marriage. Princes and Princesses are a thing of fairy tales; at the end of the day reality dictates. If each side refuses to accept his/her rights and responsibilities, the system of marriage will collapse. Too often, brothers are quick to blame sisters for being too picky and unrealistic and vise-versa.

  • I've heard so many versions of what I call "The Marriage Lecture," but unfortunately none give full consideration to many of the cultural and social barriers that Muslims living in the U.S. encounter. What an insightful lecture--the survey was especially clever. It was interesting listening to some of the reasons for delaying marriage for both brothers and sisters, because these are concerns voiced by so many Muslim brothers and sisters within my community.
