WGN Randy Salerno NOON REPORT

Randy Salerno WAS A GREAT CHICAGO NEWS ANCHOR. HE STARTED IN CHICAGO ON CHANNEL 9 WGN. CHICAGO'S CW/WB STATION. HIS DEATH IS A GREAT LOST TO CHICAGO AND THE WORLD. I AND OTHERS KNOW HE WILL BE MISS.

Same here. I was in shock. I remember him from WGN(I don't live anywhere near Chicago but I used to watch them a lot when he was on there).

I would like to see City of Crystal Lake,IL to rename a Street after longtime Newscaster of WGN-TV and later CBS 2 Chicago WBBM-TV Randy Salerno.Although Randy is with the good lord up in heaven However I would like the name to continue to the Hearts of Crystal Lake Residences and besides being an Excelent and a very talented Newscaster.Randy did a lot for his Community.

Aside from him being on TV, he really was a small town guy who worked in a big city. He helped out at school for fun fairs and such. Randy and his family lived here in town. His funeral was at our church. I still can't think about this horrible accident and not cry even after months go by. My heart goes out to his family and friends.

This is so sad, my dad went to school with this guy. It hit my dad kind of hard when he heard about it.

I CANT BELIEVE THIS!! i was telling my uncle i missed him on WGN and he said "you didnt hear he died?" OMGG! RIP RANDY!

It's so sad. I will miss him. I remember watching him on WGN. He was quck witted and he had a terrific sense of humor.
