@MrNobody808 Yeah, great, so then MY taxes have to pay for the medical costs incurred by these irresponsible dog owners who are STILL too stupid or arrogant to admit their own liability in court. Super.
any idiot who thinks they can get a dog and not be responsible for its actions... DON'T GET A DOG! why is this such a common case? its an animal, it dose not have proper judgment! that's your responsibility when you adopt it as a pet!
Totally right - a person whose dog damages or injures someone else is liable for compensation as he or she would if he or she had another piece of property improperly placed in a way someone could get hurt. It is his property, he's responsible! Dogs are NOT persons, they're animals with ZERO judgment. They are NOT responsible, they are PROPERTY!
Thanks. No, actually my bike sustained $1000 damage which was more than my medical bills. I can't recall exactly what those were but I believe I had to pay a significant portion of the ambulance ride and a bunch of copays for different doctors and follow-up visits.

Anyway, gratz on your win. By the look of the wounds on your shoulder, you deserved it.
