OnDigital Advert 1998

This clip was the original launch promo for the ill-fated On Digital. What it offered was good, it was the software and the pricing that let it down.

It started on the 15th November 1998 and on 11th July 2001 it became ITV Digital. ITV Digital went bankrupt in May 2002 of debts of £1Bn due to Carlton and Granada paying an extortionate rate for coverage of the Football League. Many clubs didn't see the money come their way in the end after all. Sky picked up the rights at a bargian price later on.

Hi steviegTVreturns, this video would b dated October 1998 'coz I believe that OnDigital was launched at around the month I've just commented.

Now I'm gonna try and guess the exact date and I'm guessing that the exact date 4 this video is: Tuesday 6th October. Does the date ring a bell?

It doesn't matter if I'm wrong 'coz my judgments r only a rough idea from what the exact date could b.

There's no law on YouTube that says I can't try and guess dates is there?
