  • I'm still in love wih Emma Peel. She was and still is, the ultimate 'liberated' female. Smart, strong, capable, gorgeous, warm, personable and funny. Today all too many women make the cardinal mistake that to be strong and smart you have to be a bitch. Hint, being a bitch just means you are a bitch - nothing else.

  • Diana Rigg...beautiful and classy. The perfect antidote for our modern Chav nation.

  • @mindsaglowin Mr. Peel was supposedly lost- he was I believe a fighter pilot. Emma was of course a scientist and amateur spy- partnered with Steed after Mrs. Gale's departure (she left to play Pussy Galore in "Goldfinger" 1964). In late 1967, Mr. Peel was found alive in the Amazonian Jungle (Bizarre to say the least). He and comes and gets Emma- the last episode with Steed and Mrs. Peel was titled "The Forget Me Knot".

  • @mindsaglowin Near the end of "The Forget-Me-Knot," we discover that RAF Captain Peter Peel came back to England, after being lost in a mysterious jungle, and "Wife Emma Awaits." When Mrs. Peel stepped into his car, we see only a glimpse of what Steed saw from his window in full view: they could pass for twins! As Peel drives off, Emma smiles wistfully, as though a special secret that she kept from Steed for years was finally revealed. Definitely ranks among my favorite episodes.

  • Is this how British people act?

  • This promo was shot on sets after the monochrome series ended, but before the colour series had began. The ornate set is from "Honey for the Prince." Diana Rigg's hair length indicates it was from the end of the season (her hair is shorter in the beginning of the monochrome series), it seems to have been shot about the same time as the monochrome American open with the chessboard was filmed.

  • @bjay1001 "It's a short skirt...I mean short cut to our next clue!" How many dead boyfriends did Penny have? "Exactly! Let's just be good friends!"

  • @Elric33239 I did notice! Did you also notice that the "body" is actress Valerie Van Ost, who also makes a memorable appearance as "Penny" in the episode "Dead Man's Treasure"?

  • @bjay1001 Did you catch Steed patting "The Body" on the ass as they left? Steed, you dog! LOL!

  • These two are the prototypes for Mulder and Scully.

  • Someone tell me, where is Mr. Peel?

  • Emma is soo gorgeous,witty and cool<3
