"Life Course/Work Course: 12:39pm 21May2009 - 7 months old - Beuys Eats Vegetable at Home After Richard Prince Had Wrapped the Hong Kong Museum of Art and Before Going to 'Louis Vuitton: A Passion for Creation' Exhibition Opening to Meet Up Japanese Friend Kaikai the Perky Rabbit who Was Created by Takashi Murakami", art work by Beuys the artist rabbit, video by Monique Yim, in Hong Kong 2009. About the artist: Beuys the artist rabbit, brown and white German Lionhead young rabbit, born in about Nov2008, starting art life when living with artist Monique Yim in Hong Kong on Jan2009. First art work and exhibition is "How To Introduce Art To An Alive Rabbit" public performance art with Monique Yim in the 'Hong Kong Live Art Local Tour 2009'. Muse of the art work: Joseph Beuys, "Lebenslauf/Werklauf" (in English: "Life Course/Work Course"), an idiosyncratic CV, 1964, Germany. This Joseph Beuys' art work and/or document was a self-consciously fictionalised account of his life, in which historical events mingle with metaphorical and mythical speech (eg. he refers to his birth as the Exhibition of a wound; he claims his Ulysses Extension to have been carried out at James Joyces request, that is impossible, given that the writer was by 1961 long-dead). It marks a blurring of fact and fiction that was to be characteristic of Joseph Beuys' self-created persona, as well as the source of much controversy (although, significantly, there is no mention of his famous plane crash).
