Number one, you can't compare DH's home to a lot. The developer
does NOT live there, it's not their home. Number two, read
above, they raised the money and the developer would NOT sell.
Number three, the main evil party is not the developer but
the city who sold it to the developer instead of letting
the community have it or even allowing the community to buy
it. Government in the pocket of business interests, is not
new. Such a beautiful example of the spirit of the people
and cooperation.

indeed.

I read that the money was raised but the owner refused to sell.

Daryl is great.I am glad she stands up for all which is fair and just.

I'd like to set up a small farm on Daryl Hannah's property in Malibu. I know she wouldn't mind. What is her address? I think I will grow organic lentils, hemp and corn (my people call it 'maize') on her property and I will chain myself to her tree when she tries to have me evicted.
Maybe Daryl really is out of her tree.

I hear you, dude. Title does seem a little tongue in cheek, though from your other posts I get it. You actually mean she is about to speak earnestly. Still, this day and age...

She was one of many activists dedicated to this cause who inspire us all to become a part of something real in our lives, to transcend the quotidian. The gardners and supporters did indeed raise the money for the public land. Still, the forces that be did not allow the gardens to stand as a vital example of cooperation and of Nature in the innercity. I watched this one because of the meanspirited title, just to learn more about the cynical perspectives that taint our world. Paz y amor

Trust me; just because her step dad has money doesn't mean that she has either access or control of same. Men who aquire that level of wealth tend to enjoy controlling same, sometimes even from the grave.
We have no idea.
False assumption.

yea she should, thatd be awesome
What's meanspirited about it? She does adjust her hair and prepare to speak. I think descriptive may be a better, um, description.
