Violinist Juan Reynoso was happy to teach his music, and he taught me for literally thousands of hours in his Riva Palacio, Michoacán living room. I videotaped all of these lessons. This is a rare lesson video, as the fine violinist Serafín Ibarra, from near Morelia, was able to participate. I'm playing rhythm on the mandolin, and Ruth Einstein and Tim Wetmiller are playing harmony violin parts. Rhythm guitar is probably Hugo Reynoso. The piece, composed by Juan Reynoso, is a pasodoble entitled Inocente Galindo (or Galindez). Visit www.SwingCatEnterprises.com for transcriptions, arrangements, CDs and DVDs of this music. -Paul Anastasio
Serafin is my uncle and I had a chance to meet him when he came over to the States. He and my father played for hours their violins. I felt like I was in heaven! you are lucky to get lessons form him! He is a very humble person!
