  • Hello mrflipvid. If you are interested in listening to music played by this great pianist, search for his videos on youtube. There is much material to listen. The younger generation like yours ought to know who was Alicia de Larrocha and hear their interpretations. Sheis not anymore in this world but she has left a large number of recordings that have to endure throughout history. By now! ;))))))))

  • I'm trying desperately to write the address and send it to you, but does not work. Let's try it another way:

    type Granados dash marshall com

Click on AMGM, click on enlish, Click on What is the AMGM, Click on Alicia de Larrocha.

There you'll find a lot of information (records, awards, biography ...)

  • Mr Flipvid, you moved me. Alicia was my friend for over 20 years, a supreme poet of the piano, a humble, down to earth person with a great sense of humor. Her vast discography speaks for itself. Her poetic rendition of Rachmaninov's 3rd piano concerto is just one example of her supreme musicianship.

Flipvid, welcome to the world and language ofmusic.

  • Alicia de Larrocha was one of the most important musicians of the 20th century. I had the honor to hear her live when I was 17, 11 year ago.

  • @cooperalia The adress has changed. Now anybody that wants to know thinks about her (extense biography, performed concerts, repertoire, discography, anecdotes, news, awards...) go to aliciadelarrocha dat com

  • wonderul pianist - she had very small hands and was a very tiny person - yet she played all the big works, rachmaninoff concerto 3, brahms concerto 2, the liszt sonata and most wonderful are her recordings of the iberia by albeniz which very few pianists attempt...wonderful pianist...if you haven't heard her there is plenty on youtube...best thing to start with is falla's fire dance which she really plays very well!

  • In her day she was considered a near divinity.

  • Nobody played Ravel's Piano Concerto in G like her! This is a great loss...

  • yes , she was the greatest spanish pianist of all times, godess of spanish music,

    regards from Barcelona, Spain

  • " Alicia de Larrocha, Nights in the Gardens of Spain "

try it in YouTube search... You will be emotionated in the end!

  • The Larrocha's fame went so far! Thanks, little boy.

    Regards from Catalonia.

  • She was one of the greatest pianists of all time. Those who were fortunate enough for hearing her live concerts, we have been privileged. New generations, like yours, should hear the amazing repertoire she left recorded. It really is breaking news: one of the greatest is gone!, but now it is our duty, her memory endures through time ...
