  • Phantomreviewer, have you by any chance heard of Red Letter Media? My uncle mentioned him (he reviews star wars prequels). It sounded exactly like your reviews, what with a girl with an accent locked in a basement, reviewing badish movies, etc. We thought it might have been the same guy, but your voices sound different.

  • @carihigs Yes I love his Mr Plinkett reviews! I wasnt initially influenced by him, however after watching a lot of his reviews I did do some small references to him in later reviews (like the live action stuff in the first few season 4 episodes)

  • i have soon finished reading the book (it was a little hard, the book is in english and i'm swedish) and i must say this is the christine that popped up in my head while reading. Just like in the book she is very sweet but still ready to manipulate the phantom by saying things like "if you love me.." Great job teri polo!

Btw what is that "taxidermy" shot from?

  • @sweetiiepiee95 It's from Hitchcock's "Psycho"

  • where is the "can't con't caaaaaaaan't" thing from?

  • @awesomeinuyashagirl "Singing in the Rain"

  • I cant - CAAANT XD

  • @CiarBoppySinging at 1:45, she's wearing a wig (WIG! WIG!) because she is on-stage, playing Marguerite. Her hair is naturally blonde.

  • My gosh. I used to like this movie but you made me laugh hard cuz what you're saying is true! Oh boy you've made my day!

  • Has any one notest that Christine's hair colour changes from Brown at 1:45 and then Blond at 1:54 WHAT THE HELL?

  • I could not stop staring at the straw hat. ERIK WHAT HAS THE MEDIA DONE WITH YOU!!!

  • I'd be freaked out and screaming with all that taxidermy

  • Though the plot of the story has changed, the overall ambiance of this film is very similar to the world described in the Leroux novel. I loved this version, flaws and all. Charles Dance is not my favorite Erik by any means, but he does do a great job of bringing out the dignified gentleman aspect of the character.

  • I really hope a print of the 1916 version mentioned in the beginning (or at least more information regarding it) can be found sometime in the near future. I don't expect it to be a masterpiece, but I am still curious on how it portrayed the characters. Not to mention 1. It's the earliest known film adaptation of Leroux's novel, and 2. It's a lost film.
