all plants purify air. you breathe oxygen and convert it to carbon dioxide. plants consume carbon dioxide and convert it back into oxygen. it's just a matter of which plants does how much conversion. according to the study of biology, seaweed is responsible for more than 80% of the global co2-o2 conversion.

@Djeff70 Epipremnum aureum, not Pothos.

Why they called it money plant?
-
golden pothos, its not an ivy and is not related to ivy.
-
NASA did a study on this plant. These Pothos ivy's absorb SO many toxins ( as well as Co2 ) that i too consider these ivy's as money plants. NASA has these ivy's on the top 10 atmosphere scrubbers list.

Does anyone have one of these plants? Do they really purify the air? I'm thinking of buying one but would like some info.
