  • Does this tablet really have 8 hours of battery life? Not having a non removeable battery is not really attractive. Is the CPU good enough to handle basic tasks like Office, browsing and data proessing applications? Everything is great about it espically being rugged and affordable though Oak trail.... Why not a i5 ULV? :(

  • @Scott617600 8 hours = yes. I've had 10, I've had 5 hours. Depends on what you do. CPU runs office just fine. i5 is around 3 - 4 times the performance but adds significant cost, weight and size... not to mention the battery life hit. Personally, I use the Motion F5v with an i7 ULV processor because I use it as a laptop.

  • How's the outdoor visibility of the screen?

  • @dek5704 Quite good. Not as good as a Motion F5v or J3500 Gorilla Glass. You lose this one on the angles in sunlight, but quite readable straight on in sunlight.

  • If anything, the music is good...

  • @testplayer Yes, technically it is single Core, but hyper threading is effectively 2 virtual cores. No doubt about it the EP121 is a very nice tablet that is much more powerful, but the lack of 3G, Windows 7 Pro and a relatively poor battery life make the Motion CL900 a better alternative in some certain situations. - Not always by any stretch!

  • @Donkling unfortunately, atom z670 is single core and can only get a poor 2.0 on the cpu part of windows 7 experience index, no matter how you tweak windows 7 and power options. As a contrast, the core i5 470UM in ep121 can get 5.6 on cpu part of windows 7 experience index!! This is REALLY fast.

  • Very helpful video. One suggestion though. When doing videos, constantly transitioning from the video of the device to a stark text box is unnecessarily distracting. It would be much more useful to simply lay the text over the existing video.

That said, this looks to be a very interesting tablet for the enterprise customer. I've been waiting for these specs for quite some time. I'm wondering what boot-up times are like with the SSD.

  • @suhaybhafiz That's very subjective. If you want a Tablet PC for home use, then yes, you may be better off with EP121. Also for digital artists, the EP121 with it's Wacom tablet would be a better choice. However, if you need Windows 7 Pro, Inbuilt 3G and GPS and you are only doing occasional note taking or hand written data entry (most of our market) then the N-Trig on the CL900 would be much better than EP121. For the way I work, an even better choice is the J3500.

  • N-trig? If so forget it get the ep121.
