@TheRoisin84 .The custom oftying rags on trees, often is for wishing and healing puposes. it is common at some sacred wells and trees in England and Scotland as well. in Scotland the trees are known as 'Cloutie trees.' You see this at other 'pagan' sites today,such as Tara,Aveburyy and others, even though this is not the tradition of the area or the people who once lived/worshipped there.Harmless but doesn't really belong.

Nice video, but your really have to be there to see Tara's beauty. It's so peaceful and green and I loved that you could explore without having to stay on a certain pathway. Loved it there and hope to return.
