Traxxas Summit day out at Bennett Creek Park in Suffolk Va. Just got done building this truck first real run I have had it on. Blew out the rear differential, and fried the brushes in the motor .

I found out today that Bennett Creek Park is Salt Water marsh, would of been nice to know before my truck tumbled into the water twice. Now I got a rust bucket.

Runnign the Dewalt 14.4v motor, on 2s 20c 5000mah 7.4v Lipo

  • thats what i was wondering utube, i would like to set up my summit suspension like that just a lil less stiff for the track, any suggestions?

  • @SummitTraxx Well for starters the Summit is not a race truck and is not intended to go fast so when you say go to the track I hope you aren’t plan on tiring to do that, if so sell the Summit by an E-Revo. But I was not happy with this truck in the long run converted it back to a stock Summit suspension and gave it to my brother. But in order to get the suspension to react better would just want to go lighter oil in shocks and soft springs, I was running stock Summit springs.

  • From the sound of the car in the start of the video I can already tell that the gears i the diff is gonna break cause it should sound like that, it just don't sound healthy in the gears at all actually :/

  • @Mac830302 yea the darn screws backed them self out of the diff cup nothign striped just came apart. Easy fix. but did away with the truck anyway.

  • I was just playing around that day softened them up they did much better but some lighter springs would do better think a lot of it was to also do with the fact of smaller tires less traction and grip the suspension was not having to flex because the tires would slip and not grip to make the truck squat.

  • @utube19540909 -Thanks, I have a few set of the trenchers I really do not like them. They are great on the Slash 4x4, but on either one of my Summits I just was not happy with them. Just my experience, I do have a set of 40 Series mashers on my other Summit and they are great I swap from them to the Mohab to change things up sometimes. But the suspension articulation or lack of, was due to the Stock Summit springs being too tight

  • Thats a great truck but i would advise getting some new tires. Try some proline trenchers. They work great on my summit. I love that chassi bye the way. Also, the truck didnt look like it had suspension or articulation at all. Why???

  • LHS, Pro Line F250 body

  • where did u get the body

  • Thanks.. Took some real work to rebuild it after this video, that Salt Water did a number on it.. I know where not to go back to.. *L*
