Benjamin Zweifel of the Swiss Federal Institute intentionally triggers a wind loaded slope in the northern Bridger Range of Montana. Faceted snow formed the previous morning was capped by a wind slab.

  • This slope is near the summer trail leading to Sacajawea and just under treeline. Wind was blowing down the "trail bowl" and loading this slope which is E/NE facing just above 8000ft
