  • Alll right...... when queens hatch they are infertile, they are fertilized by drones from a DIFFERENT COLONY, on thier nuptial flights maybe once or twice a year. It would be impossible for a colony to last 18 months without a queen...... They have probably taken a queen by accident and didnt realize it..... morons..... also during the manuel transfer of ants from the refrigerator many of the eggs die becasue they need specific temperatures to develop. when u want a colony pls REASERCH TY!!!

  • Et tu leur donne à manger comment???

  • sleep?

  • GREAT

  • this guy hasnt got a clue worker pupae do not turn into alates without a queen so what he says about them turning into a queen without a queen in the colony present is a load of bull iv been collecting ants since i was 14 i am now 22 i have over 20 species so if any of you are falling for this crap you are as deluded as him. Its cheaper to make your own and way better

  • If you dont have enough money for this formicarium(ant farm) you can also buy some plaster and shape it into one. From my experience ive noticed that ants like "rooms"(chambers) with only one exit.

  • @smiche2 You are very right in saying that. Different ant species require different foods, and even different castes of ants require differences in diet. Most ant species won't eat carrot or lettuce, as they need protein and carbohydrates.

  • @smiche2 Thanks for the correct answer :)

  • @tdpurple That is not true. Some dont eat insects or vegetation. And also you need to provide all needed nutrition, minerals and proteins so that your ants could grow healthy or just grow at all.

  • I can back up DemonsLite's comment. What he/she says is exactly right.
