im terrible at making flat whites :s they come as are rather sorry looking cappuccinos or as if someone just added milk to coffee. i practice them on every shift but if a customer orders one and the queue is huge i have to ask someone to do it for me :( sad times :(
Cameronscoffee: you can shit right off. we have 3 minutes only to serve the customers. that includes everything from the moment they walk through over our threshhold to when they leave our counter to sit down. you are a complete coffee snob and i believe you need to get a life. I work very hard and swiftly, and our queue always has at least 5 people in it because we are so popular. That must mean we are doing something right. And to be honest, i dont hear our customers complaining about it.
crappy flat whites, you cant mass produce a thing of perfection, each cup should be individually made... and you cant leave a espresso sitting their for that long, amateur mistake, but then again what can you expect from costa!!! its never going to taste good either, what with the patchy over roasted beens.... go and find a job in a proper coffee shop, you obviously have skill so use it somewhere, where the customer will actually care.....
@wja1978 Yeah i agree, my idea of the flat is all about having that beautiful undisturbed crema sitting on top. The rosetta's are good, but you wanna keep your customers happy by not giving them a foamy fw!
