Faith in Life

This video recording was made in August 2008 in Jhaudia, a small village near Kushtia, Bangladesh. Jiban Biswas, a child with multiple disabilities, sings two songs by Lalon Phokir. The video was shot by Proshot Kalami. Jiban is accompanied on the 'Bangla dhol' by Madan Kumar Das. This is part of a larger research project on Lalon Shah Phokir, conducted by Sudipto Chatterjee and Proshot Kalami. The videographer is Proshot Kalami, the documentarian for the Man of the Heart Project.

There are lots of disable children's are living in Bangladesh, many of them are forced to do begging or other things like this. I think we Bangladeshis have to do something for them, the government also have responsibility of these children's.
