  • The Seekers superb skill and talent stands out clearly here; the group could step on stage and do a live version of a song every bit as good as any studio version they ever recorded.

  • Isn't this happy??!!!??

    Thanks for posting.

  • The woman at 1:08 is a honey.

  • What a lovely song!

  • @laffs yeah it does look like Susan Boyle. Maybe her relative that immigrated to Australia from Scotland. One thing that stands out here, is that all the people in the audience are so well dressed and well behaved. Not like today's aurdiences who dress up like they are from the slums and have no proper clothes to wear. Not to mention the bad behavior that they proudly show in public.

  • Brings bck memories. The best ever Australian group

  • I loved this song when I was a kid. We used to sing it at school in music lessons in 1974, which was quite a few years after it came out.

  • This was the year I graduated High School - loved the song then too!

  • I haven't heard this since the late 60s. We were young(er) too, once upon a time...

  • I;ve loved this song ever since I was a kid, I;m 47 noe and still love it.

  • I used to love this song! The ordience doesn't look too impressed eh?

  • This was a free Music for the People concert staged as part of Melbourne's Moomba Festival - I was 14 and perched on the top of stage left wing. I had asked my parents if I could go and it was first time I caught the train to Flinders Street on my own. I can't tell how impressive an audience of 200,000 plus was to a country boy - it was the first time I had ever been to a concert and I met a cute girl who sort of snuggled into me as we experienced this extraordinary event. So long ago!
