@kaylinsos Not everyone just pays attention to props. I listened to the music more than looking at the actual video.

So what if the solo was mic'd?
We were playing to people in a press box wayyyy far away, and he's quite amazing, so why not have him heard?

The songs were Yellow Vated I-Rage, Imagine, Frankenstein, and Generation I. The solo was played by a Somphomore at that time. They practice 3 times a week in the summer, and one of the days they practice is 12 hours long. I know this I was in the band for quite some time.

It is a good solo, but it's mic'd.

I watched finals last year, but here's my question. How are you allowed to use little children in your performance? Doesn't that break some kind of age rule? lol
I would like to have my say in all of this...
I made it just in time to State Finals to catch Jenison, Walled Lake Central, and Reeths-Puffer and they all did a MAGNIFICENT job. Everyone played their absolutely best and poured their heart and soul into their show. It's okay to not like a show or to be bitter about not winning, but it's not cool to bash other bands.
I'm from RP, but that doesn't mean I can't think that Jenison, WLC, Hudsonville, PCEP, and etc. did a great job as well....
