@LetsGrowItUp They are expendable... why because the french do not have to turn on the news and see a French person who died in a foreign nation. Just look at the history of where the Legion have operated and still operate and it will show you.
Why do you insult me?

@LetsGrowItUp a legionnaire gets paid 1200 a month if they move up in rank then they get paid more as it is in every nation. In Canadian forces a private gets paid 2663 even after conversion it is still much more.
They are not fat because they train hard and eat very little, maybe read a few books about the lives and experiences of a few Legionaries then compare it, just look at them they are not just thin they are stick thin, every other military even navy seals has bulk guys.

@Baseshocks You have no clue of what you are talking about. First off, the pay varies from $1700 to $4500/month depending on the unit. Two: they aren't fat because they haven't been eating at mc donalds and kfc their whole life. If you're fat, you ain't going to get in. Third, the french govt never considered those soldiers expendable. Kind of the reasons they weren't sent to Iraq. Everyone who wasn't brainwashed by the us media knew that Iraq had no WMD.

This is really sad .These assholes think that this kind of life is going to make them happy or fulfilled!.Well at least it keeps them away from the public.

Let me guess, American?

ANYONE KNOW THE SONG PLAYING TOWARDS THE END?
@DeciBoibel ya i do not think they will shut the FFL down, they are one of the best and cheapest forces on the planet, these guys get paid 1000 euros a month they maintain their entire base, cut grass, shovel snow, on top of that they are barely fed, thats why they are all so thin, on top of that the french government has a expendable troop force where soldiers can die and they will not get flack from their own public.. i hope to join when fit enough to apply, was held back for the longest time.

@dx360555 Those men signed up under anonymous with a new identity. Part of that agreement is they cannot be in any media.
