Mareg sacrifices his life in order to save his friends. He is a true hero.
One of the best cutscenes in the game.

After this the world transforms into sad, dangerous place. The end of the world is near and all hope is lost! This makes Grandia II truly interesting. The story is gettin better and better.

when I find the bag that had maregs points and his axe I gave each and everyone some and then more for tio and I also keep the axe and never sell it..

This scene always makes me cry... When I first played, I knew Millenia was gonna die, but Mareg? That was 100% unexpected. I cried. So fucking hard. And when Ryudo and Tio scream at 5:17, it doesn't really help. I dunno, the incredibly graceful landing at 5:50 always made me giggle through my tears. Then I get sad again.

darn,i hate it when characters you work hard to build up and grow fond of get stirred with storyline and eventually must be sacrificed. mareg was a great character but his death shall not die in vain and so i worked hard to build everyone else up as well.
