"Today Christ is born of the Virgin in Bethlehem- Today He who knows no beginning now begins to be, and the Word is made flesh." The Powers of heaven greatly rejoice, - and the earth with mankind makes glad,
The Magi offer gifts, - the shepherds proclaim the marvel!
And we cry aloud without ceasing: -
Glory to God in the highest, - and on earth peace, goodwill among men!

GREAT DOXOLOGY The priest opens the Holy Doors, faces the East, and exclaims: "Glory to You who have showed us the light! "

Glory to God in the highest , and on earth peace, good will among men.
We praise You, we bless You, we worship You, we glorify You,
we give You thanks for Your great glory.
O Lord God, heavenly King, God the Father Almighty, O Lord, the only-begotten Son, Jesus Christ;
and You, 0 Holy Spirit!
O Lord God, Lamb of God, Son of the Father, that take away the sin of the world, have mercy on us;
You that take away the sin of the world, receive our prayer;
You that sit at the right hand of the Father , have mercy on us.
For You alone are holy, You alone are the Lord, 0 Jesus Christ,
to the glory of God the Father. Amen.
Every day I will bless You and praise Your Name .
for ever and ever!
Vouchsafe, 0 Lord,
to keep us this day without sin.
Blessed are You, 0 Lord, God of our Fathers
and praised and glorified is Your Name forevermore.
