Dutch speedskater Sven Kramer was denied his gold medal after a dramatic mistake made by his coach Gerard Kemkers. Sven would have broken the Olympic record.
Sven Kramer thought he had won Gold when he finished the men's 10,000 meter speedskating event on Tuesday in Vancouver Winter Olympics. He finished in 12:54.50, an Olympic record, but later learned that he committed a lane change violation. Sven Kramer was disqualified as a result.
Sven Kramer was furious when his coach informed him the bad news. He flung his glasses and kicked at lane markers in frustration.

He got a gold medal in the game already :S, Well if a coach did that to me, I would be mad too, but I wouldn't be like him.

if you train olmost your whole life for this and then lose at a mistake like this its horrible and its not like go on the next second... you cant imagen what he went trough

@endeavourthelimits Cleary you've never ever seen an interview with sven, or even understand what is said in the video.

@endeavourthelimits Remember seeing this live. I am not that much into ice skating, but hove can the coach be the true hero of this episode? he gave kramer the wrong call that cost him the olympic 10k gold medal?

What a complete and utter embarassment for his parents, for his nation, and for his flag.
I have 3rd graders who are better able to maintain their composure than this manchild of entitlement.

To me the hero of this story is the coach because he proved what's the true nature of the skater. The skater proved to be arrogant, when he won the first medal, and lacking any bit of modesty, while in the reaction after the long race he proved to be ungrateful as well. It was through Gerard that the skater got there in the first place and without him he wouldn't have anything.

@endeavourthelimits Amen brother! It's easy to criticize the coach, but like you said, he's the man behind the curtains making it all possible. It was a dramatic mistake, no less, and Sven's anger is understandable...
