By default, YouTube will show you the Normal version. If you encode your videos using the specs below, YouTube will give you the "watch in HD" option at the bottom-right of the video display.

  • I set my sequence to 1280 by 720 and it only renders 720 by 480...

  • I tried for hours to figure this out on my own but using these settings worked in two seconds. Thanks so much for the clear and easy to understand help.

  • When I use these settings the video itself gets cropped into a smaller format and I get black bars all around the video. Any idea what I might be doing wrong? Using exact settings as shown in the description.
