@nmon1 Actually I didn't. I don't even have a compressor. This was done with one Shure sm-57, through a cheap ass lexicon alpha, then recorded using audacity, a free program. The attack you are probably hearing in the beginning, is due mainly to the mixing of the 2 vids, and the sound overlapping. Check out my no quarter or pushit vid, which was done after at least a little more experience with this recording method than this one, and gives a better representation of the sound

hey man great covers, i have a question to ask. i know this has nothing to do with your cover but i have the same bass whammy as yourself n justin however when ever i try to play it always goes all static on me so when i try and turn the level down i fix it but the tone is completly lost :S any suggestions?

It has always been my opinion that you post the best Tool bass covers, but there were times where I thought maybe certain things sounded only slightly off. This new HD of Aenema is better than your posts before and I notice a lot of refinements you've made to play exactly what Justin plays. while always a great job, that was near perfect. KU-DOS!
