Oh I just wish I'd saw it before I quit my job, they were cutting my hours only giving me one day a week but now I can't find work anywhere (maybe i'm just looking in the wrong places) but if I kept that job until I found a new one I'd have a little money coming in instead of nothing at all.

Great now it is a time for you to discover yourself. Are you looking for a job just to pay your bills or are you looking for your passion. Because once you find your passion, you will not be jobless for long.

I was laid off recently and about to start collecting unemployment for the next 6 months. So not only will i be using this time to look for a new job but utilize this time to expand my part time business and start generating my own income. In the long run I really want to work for myself.

Well that is a good idea, but I think you need to stop the boat from sinking now. Once the boat is a afloat meaning your life, you can start coming up with ideas. But my advise do something you love. Follow your passion, because that is where your success lies.
