Presque tous les hommes meurent de leurs remèdes, et non pas de leurs maladies.
Nearly all men die of their remedies, and not of their illnesses.
Molière from his Le Malade Imaginaire (The Imaginary Invalid) 1673, Act III, sc. iii
Those cool, sweet popsicles, their color, their goodness and messiness and melting and . . . superb for this scene.

This is such an intense scene, it's great. I'm playing Susie and I'm so afraid of getting it "wrong".
Incredible film! One of my favorite scenes, with two incredible talents.

Play her as just a nurse just doing her job, a career she really likes, with just enough professional reserve as to keep her from getting too attached to her patients, but as one in which pain becomes the signal for her to melt a degree at a time for them; and for whom the final dignity of respect for the dying becomes another professional discipline to uphold, until it becomes really personal .. at about this scene. Good playing ..
