The city councils of Santa Cruz, Scotts Valley, Capitola and Watsonville, and the Santa Cruz County Board of Supervisors have called for a moratorium on the installation of PG&E "SmartMeters". Why is PG&E ignoring these explicit demands and going ahead with the 2+ billion dollar "roll out"? The SmartMeter system collects electric and gas usage from homes and transmits the data via pulsed microwave to a wireless network (=no meter readers!). FIND OUT if these microwave meters are the future for GREEN energy or DANGEROUS and INACCURATE and reveal private details of daily life - when people wake up, come home, take a hot bath and go on vacation.

Does your power company have the right to enter your property install a new meter? YEP They do not have the right to install a device that radiates you and your family. NOPE They may own the smart meter, but they do not own the radiation, that comes from the smart meter. As a homeowner and the FFC rules, part 15 allows you FOIL your meter. So now we are back to them reading your meter manually and they have a $300 piece of JUNK. It is your home, so take back your power.

OH LOOK Max Headroom (Tomer Tamarkin) speaks. What Max is trying to tell you is that 1,000 milliwatts is really 1 watt. EXCEPT a smart meter doesn’t transmit continuously, so the power is closer to 4 watts or 4,000 milliwatts. What do you think a 4 watt pulse is going to do to any homeowner with a pacemaker, defibrillator or a deep wire brain implant? Max is the only one so far that is close, but still no cigar. A lot better than BC Hydro's 0.000002 watts listed on their website.

Smart Meters communicate with 902 MHz radio waves over the WAN to the utility and at 2.4 GHz ZigBee for the in-home area network. Power is less than 1,000 miliwatts, max. Every smart meter uses about 4 watts of power just to send the consumers privacy to the big super computer. Lets take 5 million smart meter times 4 watts of wasted power and we get 20,000,000 watts of wasted power. SAVING POWER?

5 million meters at $450 each is saving money? Infrastructural for the smart meters program would be what 15 BILLION DOLLARS?
