This is kind of just a filler episode [:
(Joe's POV)
It was 5:30 pm and Thanksgiving dinner would be ready in just a few minutes. The last few days have been nothing but hanging out at the house, watching movies, eating pie and enjoying everyone's company. It was truly relaxing and nice to get away from the buzzing campus life for a little while.
Demi: "Wow, it smells amazing in here." Demi walked inside the kitchen and sat on a barstool, her head propped up on the palms of her hands, watching me finish off the turkey.
JM: "Joey here, can make a mean turkey."
Demi: "I can smell that. And the cranberries look delicious." I took a spoonful of cranberry sauce and put it in front of Demi's mouth, she opened widely and I stuck the spoon inside. Her eyes lit up as I released the spoon and used it to taste the cranberries myself. "This is amazing, Joe!"
Joe: I laughed, "Thanks. Can you tell everyone to sit in the dining room? We're bringing everything out now."
Demi: "Sure. Need help? Here, i'll bring the roles and stuffing in." Without waiting for my responce she grabbed the basket of bread rolls and the stuffing and left the kitchen.
Ten minutes later everything was ready, the prayers had been said and we were all chomping away at our Thanksgiving feast. Halfway through dinner Demi mouthed "Thank you," to me and gave me that cute ginormous smile of hers. After dinner Nick took Selena on a walk through the woods in the back, he wanted to show her the stars and man are they beautiful at this time. It was so far from the city out there that the stars looked like a bunch of silver freckles twinkling in the night's sky. Kevin and Danielle went upstairs and curled up in front of the television, Frankie went to bed early; full and exhausted, Mom and Dad sat on the porch holding hands like they always do. That's the inspiring thing about my parents, their love and it's strength throughout all these years. I volunteered to clean up and Demi did too, saying it was the least she could do for such a fantastic Thanksgiving. I told her not to worry but of course she helped anyways. I was drying my hands after washing the last of the dishes when I felt a sting sore through the back of my thigh. I turned around to see Demi, all wide eyed and frozen, with a wet towel in her hands. Did she just...whip me?
Joe: "Did you just whip me, Demetria? Oh, you are SO getting it!" I flipped the foucet on and soaked the dry towel in my hands before returning my gaze to Demi, she tried not to giggle as she turned on her heel and ran for the kitchen door. I caught her just in time, as she was about to open the door and I whipped her right in the butt. She screeched in pain and grabbed her butt, seeing a window I put my arms around her waist and pulled her into me, tickling her in the process.
Demi: "Hahahaha-Jooeeyy!---Hahahaha-Joe! St-st-stop itt!!"
She hit my forearms with her tiny hands and when that didn't work she dug her fingernails into them, causing me to automatically release her. She wisked around and stuck her tounge out at me before making a run for it. I chased her upstairs, Danielle and Kevin giving me looks on the way, and found the door to the room she was staying in closed and locked.
Joe: I panted as I knocked hard on the door, "Let me in!"
Demi: "Never!" She called from the otherside.
Joe: "Fine," I pretended to leave, but instead grabbed the key from above the door and stuck it in the keyhole. When I opened the door she had her arms crossed around her chest, her black hair a frenzied mess in front of her pale face.
Demi: "Wha-Joe! You ass."
Joe: "You're the one who smacked me with a wet towel for no reason! I have whip marks now,"
Demi: She couldn't help but laugh at how odd that sounded. "What do you wanna do now?"
Joe: I thought for a moment before parting my lips to say, "Come on."
Demi: She followed me out the door and down the stairs, "Where are we going?"
Joe: "You'll see." We made our way over to the shed in the backyard and she raised her dark eyebrows at me.
Demi: "What're you gonna do, murder me and hide my body in your creepy shed?"
Joe: "Yes." I joked.
