Freediving at Justins Caves, Camps Bay - Cape Town.

Conditions were less than 'perfect' having just experienced heavy winds so although the water was a lot murkier and green than usual it was still awesome seeing it buzzing with life. Everything from a dense blanket of Artemia to shysharks and loads of fish. The site also has a beautiful kelp forest which provide food and shelter to an elaborate ecosystem of creatures. One of the amazing things about diving Cape Town's waters is that no two dives are ever the same :)

Justins also has the remains of a large anchor from the historical wreck of the Dutch East Indiaman "Het Huis te Kraaiestein" and a few really cool natural swim throughs and caves for divers to explore and the few shown in this clip are just a handful of them...

  • Hey dude, im a freediver from cape town (im living overseas now and freediving in taiwan. Im comming back to cape town for a month after christmass. mind if I dive with you guys? Id really like to get into the cape town freediving scene.
