First and last Waitangi Flight

It is very rare to be driving along and find what looks to be a flying site, with a soarable breeze. Even rarer to talk to the golf pro across the road at the Waitangi Golf Club and find out no problem with flying and no one ( according to him ) had been successful in soaring with quite a few attempts.

One of the most challenging flights I have had for a while.
I have kept it as one unedited flight from beginning to end so the bit in the middle is a bit repetitive so fast forward to the fun cross wind landing if getting impatient for more action.

Unfortunately on landing a Park Ranger politely congratulated me and then showed me the by law specifically banning hang-gliding.!!!!!!! And I thought I had done all the right things.!!!!
