It was not the late Lucrecia Kasilag who composed the song, she composed "Themes and Variations" which was based on "Walay Angay" a Filipino Folk tune/love song (kundiman). Its translation, "there is no comparison to the pain of lost love. The lyrics of the song is partly Hiligaynon and Cebuano.

From what I can tell the whole song is sung in Hiligaynon. Some of the parts in the beginning of the song could be either language. I'm not fluent in either language so correct me if I'm wrong.
