A spoof on David Cameron's Big Society theme. I thought government was elected to run the basic services....health, education, policing, civic...perhaps its just me. With thanks Em for supplying the vocal!
I have no objection to a smaller government. Ideally we would have a direct democracy, and maybe web 2.0 will help enable that vision. Electorate should have the right to recall an MP. As for the big sell off - (despite the U turns) should be slower in order to enable the third sector CIC's mutuals, and charities to get a look in...as I believe the profit motive is disingenuous, favoring only the wealthy...and as we all know that's not the majority of society, regardless of NEST.
@JoeGitface kids don't have much choice as to whether or not they are able to play out on the street, that choice is already made for them.In fact every choice we seem to be given is within a limited scope of what are acceptable choices within that society. Could I choose not to pay council tax or any tax?Can I choose to do as I please when I please?Don't talk to me about choices.
the planet doesnt need us to save it. It will be here long after we have gone at the rate we are going.
@JoeGitface Cars have to go. Just an example of piss poor planning for the future when they were made affordable. I'd prefer children to be playing outside without having to worry about them being run down by a car. At the moment they all just sit inside watching telly and playing computer games, getting fat and becoming even further disconnected from the planet on which they live.
Try walking places instead of watching the world through a window or a screen.
I take my hat off to anyone who wants to play around sampling Cameron for hours on end, good work. Must have screwed with your mind though...take a well deserved break, you've earned it!

@liamanewton I walk everywhere and CYCLE, so please don't lecture me about my life.
People have a right to CHOOSE, unfortunately some 'useful idiots' don't, and you seem to be just what they want to spread the deception.
Do you sit in the dark to 'save the planet', too?

Big society : Taking money from 'dormant' bank accounts is STEALING.
If WE took money from our employer without notice we'd be sacked and prosecuted.
I urge everyone to harass their MP into getting this crime STOPPED and Cameron's BS chums investigated by the police.

Go watch this video on YT : Paul Twivy, CEO of The Big Society Network
This guy lets the cat out of the bag when he says,"...watching their kids play safely in a street as a social space, not a transport system.."
He means GET RID OF CARS.
Another greenie with an agenda.

In the US they call it 'Community Policing', which really sounds sinister!
