Africa is a very big continent with different countries and cultures.

Nigeria is said to have about 300 Ethnicities, Cameroun 200 ans Ghana about 45. Each etnic group has their own cultures and traditions. In some it is required to bathe twice a day unlike other cultures outside Africa who may just shower once a week.

So far as I know in my culture from which some of Fela's dancers come from, we shave our priavate areas and bathe at least twice a day. No foul smell is tolerated.
