best grip strength exercise, I do it myself after every pull ups day (just do 4-5 (or how many as you can) series of these). you will feel your forearms burning, and I mean BURNING after only a couple of minutes.
you will see the difference in grip strength (and forearm size additionally) in only a month or so, and people who focus on grip strength know that that is pretty impressive....
btw I call these ''monkey hangs'' :)

This is done with a rotating bar right? I think that was how Jouka does it. Does it work if the bar doesn't "slip"?
jouka ahola? seems to me it can be called "whatever hang" or "plain hang" why so complicated name for sucha normal thing...?

This video demonstrates an exercise I picked up from Jouka Ahola - former Worlds Strongest Man.

this can be done with one hand right? Cuz added weights aren't available in my gym. And the grip, thumb on the same side as the other fingers or gripping it fully?

grip it fully.
I wouldn't do it with one hand due to the possible injury to the elbow and shoulder. Bodyweight hangs (with no weight) are still very challenging when you go over 1-2 minutes

Jouko Ahola didn't hang from a pull-up bar, he hanged from a regular lifting bar which was put on the pull-up station which makes it alot more difficult since the bar is trying to move. U have great stuff uploaded in youtube btw!

Thanks for the details, I did not know that! Without a doubt a free revolving bar on the pins is much harder than a fixed bar, which makes his grip strength even more impressive.
Thanks for the kind words on the videos, more to come!
