I came up with the idea to make it all out of tinfoil but I am not really sure it will work because it can let water through LoL

how does it makes the pop pop sound? pleasy reply

@MrHalootjes
The sound comes from the membrane that I welded on the boiler. The working process of a pop-pop boat is based of pulsations. The water is admitted in the boiler and because the temperature here is hight, it is expulsed out the pipes and then admitted again... That give successive pressures and depressions, moving the membrane. See again the video when I test the membrane with the mouth. You will hear the caracteristic sound.

Does the can have to be Iron

@netherregens69
For the boiler, the best is iron. Iron is easy to sold with DYS tools. Aluminium is much more difficult to sold and need expensive tools. The tin box that I use for the roof and the burner is in aluminium. I use epoxy glue with it. The maximal service temperature for epoxy glue is 100°C and that is enough for the roof but not for the boiler.
