There's a big difference between bootlegging concerts for sale and recording a short clip so people can have some idea of what to expect before they go. I'm not sure which Kodo is referring to, but I hope it's not the latter, because that is both futile and stupid.
There are millions of videos on YouTube, probably at least half of which are violating copyright law. Why don't you post your sanctimonious lectures on all of them so everyone can get a good laugh?
First of all, this is YouTube. "Live Performance" means that I've seen these performed live in public. This performance is minimal compared to what I've experienced. I only say "nothing like a live performance" because that's what people need to see to really appreciate them. Were you at this performance? Did they have the signs that you claim are there? Also, if I didn't say the type of drums they are correctly, you might show a little grace in the matter. Thanks.
"nothing like a live performance" cheapened on youtube. it sounds like crap. And they are not "the kodos". It's KODO. People who secretly and illegally videotape live performances should be jailed. Maybe they can't read those words that say "cameras, flash photography, and video cameras are prohibited by law"...

I saw their performance only once when I was about 7 or 8.
I was so scared of that huge sound and beat of the drum.

It's not my "sanctimonious lecture" - it comes from KODO.

This is a direct quote from a Kodo representative, received via email:
"We are always trying our audience not to bring any videoes and
cameras inside the theater, but we can not protect us perfectly. We
want to trust our audience, though..."
I repeat: "WE WANT TO TRUST OUR AUDIENCE..."
Youtube will be removing these illegally recorded concerts. The disclaimer not to record concerts is in EVERY Kodo program.
