Since I'd not seen any electric covers of this that sounded any good, I figured I'd have a quick play around with the main riff and I played it here. It's repeated throughout basically the entire song, but it's pleasant enough :)

And before you ask about the guitar, it's a 2002 Ibanez SC420 (S-Classic/Sabre Series), with Seymour Duncan Blackout Active pickups.

  • i have the same guitar dont see too many of them these days.did ya have have much trouble installing the actives?

  • yeah a bit. the old pickup surrounds had to be removed and the cavity had to be filed out a bit, and the compartment in the back needed to be filed down a LOT to fit a 9volt inside, and its still a very tight fit.

  • that is awesome man

    just purely awesome.

do you have any tabs for it

  • they're floating around. it's standard shapes, Drop C tuning, just remember that your F string is always open, and the two strings below and two strings above are the ones you fret, so make sure you never block that F string and let it ring out :)

  • FUCKIN ASSHOLE!!!! hahahah god damn! This is the best cover, by far! Perfect, dude... Perfect...

  • That was badass. >=) now what's the deal with those people on ur comments that have been arguing for weeks?

  • @RiseWithTheFalen4 @AlexJBragg

God would you both shut up. I don't care what tuning it is in, I don't care what tuning I was playing in. Like oh wow I totally met one of them and he said they tune to the same fucking tuning every other band uses. It's a half-step, or a whole-step difference, if you're incapable of listening to that without your head asploding or something, perhaps you should be locked away somewhere you can't clutter up my notifications.

  • @AlexJBragg Ok. I will.

  • @RiseWithTheFalen4 have fun playing half a step above normal fucktard, listen to the album, and play along with it your entirely wrong but whatever.

  • @AlexJBragg in fact, my ESP LTD Viper 400, which is hooked up to my Marshall Full Stack is tuned to drop C at the moment, but i'll be tuning it to drop D later so I can play some ABRB the right way.

  • @RiseWithTheFalen4 Shows how much you have had your head up your ass. I have met ernie and I asked him tuning they used. He said and I quote, "I range from Drop C to Drop B, but mostly Drop C." Maybe you should find out how to tune your guitar to drop c. Or maybe you just have your tunings backwards, you drunk of a father told you after half a bottle of jager this is drop d son. Fuck your guitar is probably in standard

  • @AlexJBragg no, not at all. in dying days and this song are in drop D

  • @RiseWithTheFalen4 your an idiot, the entire cd is in drop c
