Lahore Peace Rally 2- Singing against the Taliban

Comrade Taimur Rahman is publicly the known face of the Pakistani socialist pop group Laal (Red). In Lahore's activist circles, however, he is known for his energetic opposition to the Musharraf dictatorship as well as support for the restoration of the then suspended Pakistani judge Iftikhar Chaudhry. People were naturally gravitating around him even as the sloganeering continued.

A wonderful addition to the days proceedings was an anti-Taliban song that was written and performed by a rally participant. His song ridicules and challenges the Taliban and their purpose. Comrade Taimur Rahman supported the amateur singer with his guitar play. An OB van of the Geo News TV channel can be seen in the background.
