  • Where did you get the pickguard for it?

  • @mightyatomics Bought it from some guy who got it from Allparts.

  • @Royalnord01: It was a Bill Lawrence Keystone neck pickup with no cover. I was very pleased with result but I have another tele that is just the perfect guitar for me so I sold the Squier some weeks ago.

  • Yes, it does. But, the pole pieces will stay too much away from the strings because of the cover.

After that video I added a neck pickup under the pickguard but the pickup I used had no cover.

I have some other videos with that configuration on my page.

  • @Ed, Thanks.

I got the esquire guard, removed the neck pickup and a standard 3 way switch.

You can find some info on different wiring diagrams over the net. I just used the simple one.

The guitar is a bit different now. I added a neck pickup under the pickguard and have the standard tele wiring scheme.

    Cheers.

  • Was that originally a Squier Classic Vibe Tele you converted over?

  • @FordIsBetter Yes it was.

  • why do people ask for tabs. playing should be a combination of schooled and playing by ear. I am not shcooled at all, cant read a note. just listen and learn, trust your ear, and let go.

  • Yeah, every so often, Squier puts out a line of guitars that manage to be as good, if not better than some slightly more expensive Fender-branded instruments. I've had a CV Tele for a few months now, and I tried out a few others, like the Baja tele, and I had a mexican standard tele a couple of years ago. the squier more than holds it's own with them. Does pretty much anything you would want a telecaster to do.

  • @OscarHeller and i didnt need someone to tell me how to do that either.

  • @telecasterbear you must blow

  • I just got one of those Champion 600 amps, and they sound fantastic. I put it through a 1-12"" Laney cab, and I have a CV 50's as well, and it fills the room with warm Fender glow. I am going to mod the CV 50 s to Esquire using the wiring scheme that gives you direct to jack sound. Thanks for the demo, nice tones.

  • Can you tell me what pickup that is , and are you satisfied with that pickup .??

  • @j7xjazzy7 does the standard neck pickup fit under the esquire pickguard ?? I just orderd a Callaham Esquire pickguard for my Telecaster .

  • Nice.
