Jean Michel Jarre's concert in London's Docklands, initially scheduled for 24th September 1988, was split into two concerts on 8th and 9th October despite drastic weather conditions.

... In the apocolyptical setting of the docks, half in ruins, half restored, with graffiti, a sense of violence, and one-time warehouses clashing with more recent architectural styles, the concerts in the London Docks, symbolising the mutation of old European cities, will rest in the memory of the British audience.
