@toby099 That's why we have to leave our mark....somehow. Titanic ending is great also. With Rose growing older..memories.

@NeoConnor1 Yeah im so glad that Liam Neeson turned down the role, even though he would have been v good but not DDL good lol, watched gangs again last night, quite ironic how he throws a knife at a picture of Lincoln.

Yeah,I can't wait to see Lincoln. He is the perfect choice for the role.

@NeoConnor1 yeah such a great actor brody he should of won a oscar for predators aswell lmao. In all seriousness The pianist is a great film and Brody was very good in it, BUT no where near as good as DDL as the Butcher! DDL's co stars were scared of him while the camera's stopped rolling because he did not break character! Best actor alive today imho and i think he will prove that by winning his 3rd oscar nxt yr for Lincoln!

Adrien Brody won that year for the Pianist.

Very powerful ending, I remember seeing this in the movies and we were all waiting to see if they would end the skyline without the Twin Towers, and being glad they kept them in. This scene is the most anticlimatic I've ever viewed, and tells a story in itself.

best ending ever

@jjobie lol
I stayed up late tonight to re-watch this movie on TV. I was mesmerized by this final scene. I must have hit rewind 10 or 12 straight times to view the final 35 seconds of this film. The powerful music combined with the tranistional imagery of the cemetary & NY skyline is fascinating and sad. Who will remember us many years from now...when we're all gone?

This ending is more sad then anything else. All those people with hopes, ambitions, full lives, forgotten and the world moves on.
