"Miley" Selena pounded on her friend's door for what seemed like hours. Selena was kneeled over on the porch of Miley's house crying her eyes out. She felt like she was having a nervous breakdown, and she had no one else she could turn to.
Finally, Miley opened the door.
Selena threw her arms around her best friend and sobbed into her shoulder.
Miley didn't say anything. She didn't yell at her ex-best friend for showing up without calling, and she suddenly didn't care about Selena and Joe hooking up. She knew that Selena needed help- because in all the years they had known each other she had never seen Selena cry.
After a few moments Selena sulked into Miley's living room and threw herself onto her couch, turned on the television and together they gorged on and food and did not say a word to each other. This lasted about an hour, until Selena finally broke the silence.
"I can't do this anymore Miley"
"What?" Miley asked.
"I can't keep being this person. I can't keep looking at the girl I see in the mirror and feel like dying inside everyday. I hate who I've become, I hate what I've let myself become"
"How are you going to fix it?" Miley asked.
"I need to go back" Selena said, the thought suddenly coming to her. "I need to go back to where everything went wrong"
"You mean?" Miley shivered, "Minnesota?"
"I have to" Selena sighed, "What doesn't kill me is only postponing the inevitable"
"What's the inevitable?" Miley asked, already knowing the answer.
"I need to make things right with Logan and-"
"Aubree" Miley said finishing Selena's sentence. "Are you sure about this? I mean if you get involved with that girls' life, you can't just leave again- this isn't an 'on your terms kind of thing' you need to commit"
"I don't know how much or if I'll be in her life, I just need to fix things. I need to fix all of my mistakes. Starting with what happened to me in high school. All of it. I'm going home"
"How long do you think you'll be gone?" Miley asked, "You can't miss work"
"Good thing I quit yesterday" Selena mumbled.
-Meanwhile-
"You and Miss.Grande are very cute together" Aubree laughed from the backseat of her dad's car. They were driving to the movie theatre, all three of them. They were going to see, Beauty and the Beast in 3D
"Thank you Aubree" Ariana laughed, "But you don't have to call me Miss.Grande when we're not in school"
"I keep forgetting your real name though"
"Arianna"
"Ariabana" Aubree laughed, "Got it"
Logan was genuinely happy, he loved how much Ariana and Aubree got a long. He had dated a few women on and off since Aubree was born, but none of them ever got along with his daughter. That was a big turn off to Logan. Ariana and him had now been dating for almost two months. He kept putting off what he knew was coming. It wasn't that he was nervous; it was just that he hadn't had sex with someone he actually cared about in years. Plus, it was difficult to ever get the time to be alone. Logan usual had his hookups when Aubree was gone at school, but since Ariana was always with Aubree during the day, and Logan was with her at night, things never worked out. Throughout the movie Logan kept falling in and out of sleep. He would wake up when Aubree started singing very loudly, and fall back asleep a few moments after. He made sure not to show too much PDA with Ariana, because he didn't want to make Aubree uncomfortable.
"I have to go to the bathroom" Aubree whispered to Logan halfway through the movie. "Fine" Logan mumbled, "We'll be right back" He whispered to Ariana as they squished past fifteen people's legs.
Logan waited for his daughter outside of the women's restroom.
"Hi stranger"
"Demi" Logan said uncomfortably, "What are you doing here?"
"I'm on a date with this total loser, and I was thinking about ditching- but then you showed up." Demi winked.
Uncomfortable again. "I'm here on a date too"
"So that's why you're standing outside the women's bathroom like a ped?"
"My daughter came with too" Logan laughed.
"So how are you doing really. I mean when I heard about you know who being back, I just felt so bad. You know? I mean what right does she have?"
"I'm sorry. You lost me" Logan said, "Whose back?"
"Are you kidding?" Demi said, "Selena. People said they've seen her around town. Everyone just assumed it had to do with you"
"Oh" Logan said, "Maybe she's here to deal with her dad or something- I don't know. But I haven't seen her"
"Not yet" Demi laughed, "Knowing Selena I'm sure she'll be making a very dramatic appearance soon"
