Disabled freelance writer Rodger Jacobs and his girlfriend Lela Michael, a freelance editor, moved to Las Vegas in 2007 to care for Jacobs' ailing mother. On the second anniversary of his mother's death, Jacobs and Michael are packing all their belongings and moving to a weekly rate residential hotel. The Sun ran the first video of this series on August 29, 2010, when a judge gave them seven days to vacate their house because they could not pay their August rent. Now, a stranger's help gets them out in time, and the couple adjusts to their small new living quarters and deals with backlash from the reaction to the first installment of their story.

  • Lela looks so much better with her hair cut short. She looks younger and more polished with a healthy glow.

  • Oh so he smokes a pack of cancer sticks every day AND guzzles alcohol? Yes I do have my vices like everyone else, but they don't cost me 300 dollars every month like yours do. And I don't eat at restaurants on the tax payer dime. I got a nice chuckle when these losers said they were heading back to CommieFornia, the Liberals with their Zero accountability mentalities have turned that place into a shithole. Home sweet home hey freeloaders?

  • You claim you have no money for food and yet you stand in your front yard pointing at all the fast food places saying this is going to be nice. Eat at home and save that money!

  • Dude you cannot take it w/you so throw it away.........you will 4get it in 2weeks.......the house is a big burden 2 you? You said you jumped on it when the offer was made. Why didn't you leave when you saw that you could no longer afford it. You should have just walked away. Quit smoking and drinking beer and save that money! Your stress is no excuse. Drink a beer and watch everyone else work. You seem to afford internet. Get rid of it and use the free wifi at the library.

  • @cellerdeluxe

    It's a haiku.

    Enjoy your serious business.

  • @Di0genesus That is to easy to say money obsession has ruined our life´s. There is so much more to know all about it. But you dont know nothing it seems or why do you post like this? Did you ever thought this could happen to you? I know it could, every day. Be carefull what you do an what you say or post.

  • @TimmyGal Your right! 100% right. I feel with all the people who are in such a bad situation right now. I life in germany and see all this bad things in tv and here on youtube. It has began in the early 1300 with the junkers who were the founder of capitalism. It isn´t enough love on the planet earth to solve all our problems. Think about the message of john lennon: ALL WE NEED IS LOVE

I´m convinced that only love will give as all the power to solve our problems where ever we live.

  • The American

    Family is ruined by its

    Money obsession

  • Don't let the negative comments get to you!! I never do! Some people will say shit just to make themselves feel better by making you feel bad. Don't let them win!!
