Nice work. Maybe see you at "Not Mells" in September. I'm planning on heading down. A great weekend by all accounts.

Great playing ! Excellent choice of tunes as well; they're all among my favourites. Merrily...is maybe my favourite jig of them all, and I'm still trying to find a TAB for it.
Top job, thanks for posting.
Cheers,
Jim

@davedupplaw Well done, you are very close....Turlough O Carolan the composer
spent alot of time around Si Beag and Si Mhor 2 fairy hills in my native County of Leitrim anglicised they would be written as Sheemore and Sheebeg, not all that far from Kilronan where the great master lies at rest......

Lovely rendition of these beautiful airs ~~~ Title for first one is "Sí beag, Sí Mhór" --translates "she's small, she's big."

Thanks Mike. I'll update the spelling of the air. I got the current spelling from the book I learnt it from, so I guess they spelled it wrong too... it is a Canadian book after all.

I never knew that's what it meant! thanks!

So, I have been learning Si beag, Si Mhor with the piper in our band recently, and I looked up what it means. Although I've not found a definitive answer, the consensus is that it means "Little Fairy, Big Fairy", referring to two hills. It's sometimes known as Fairy Mounds for that reason.
