@bookworm3583 you haven't missed 2 episodes, they haven't aired yet. The BBC in their infinite wisdom decided to air the compilation before finishing the series. And there's actually 3 more episodes not 2

The first is scheduled for December 29th and the other 2 for some point in 2012

Watching this, I realize I've somehow missed two episodes from this series--the Brian Blessed one and the one where they're all dressed up in Shakespearean outfits. I looked through your playlist from Series I and didn't find them there. Where might I watch those? Thanks!

It's just the idea than any fighting Manga/Anime could ever be "Magnificent." I've not yet encountered one that wasn't just shamelessly cliche and derivative of other Fighting Anime/Manga, or at the very least relied heavily on genre troupes.

Dragonball Z's manga was always said to be endlessly better than it's Anime adaptation, yet in reality it's exactly the same, albeit with better pacing. Is the Naruto manga really that much different from the Anime?

I have a hard time swallowing that, really. Sure, you could very much be right, but I've heard that said about many original Manga that Anime have been based on, and not once has it ever been true. Dragon Ball Z comes to mind, as does Full Metal Alchemist.

@ChainX A magnificent manga however. And the Naruto on Bill's shirt seems to be one of Kishimoto Masashi's own artworks, not an anime Naruto. I couldn't care less about the anime, it is not the original work. That manga is top notch.

Naruto is a much a stock Shounen Fighting Anime. Endless filler, endless repetition, derivative, and overly drawn out The fact that it's an adaptation is totally irrelevant. It's a dime a dozen Anime.

@ChainX Dunno what you're talking about. Naruto is a pretty good anime considering it had to be adapted from an ongoing manga - which is far better and one of the best shounens this decade.

I just would have figured he had better taste in Anime than that, unless he just likes the artwork, or is wearing it ironically.

Would have been pretty sick to see him sporting a 'Monster' shirt, or maybe one from Ghost in the Shell.
