  • I knew about the 1964 movie, but I never heard of this remake until today. Was this on TV or in the theater?

  • Both - a theatrical play live on TV (CBS). :)

  • Noke bomber pilots were kamikaze ?

  • someone took the word "remake" to seriously. This movie is 100 pct same as the original only different actors. Why to watch then?

  • How can a fail safe happen?

If the USA and USSR switch off all nagivation system and satellite, the airplane (bomber) will lost its positioning, and the pilot has to aboard the mission.

  • I also have a big interest in history of the cold war.

  • I saw this when it came out on television, I believe it was a two part (two day) movie. I watched it late I had (and still) have a crush on Noah Wyle (known from his ER days).

  • Watched this last night. It was like 3 am and I didnt fall asleep until well after it was over. What a great movie. Takes you into the war room in real time where you are on your seat hoping they are able to shoot down the bomber. Great twist too when they propose an eye for an eye. Awesome movie! Watch it. People need to see these things. This is why a country like Iran should be restrained with military force so as to not get their hands on a warhead.

  • I remember being 15 and glued to the TV when this came out, I remember thinking it was the most incredible show I'd ever seen!

  • @TheKillerofhipies I thought this kind of movie it wants to strengthen the fear that nuclear weapons escape the power of their nations, I wish you luck in your job of killing hippies, an fanatic of U.S. to an amercian fanatic! ;)

  • WTF?? I never even heard of this remake.
