07/28/2011 - Around 1130 hours the Abington Fire Department responded to a call for a worker who had fallen approximately 20 feet while working at 122 Patricia Drive. Ambulance-3 responded alone due to multiple calls at the same time. A-3 crew requested MedFlight to respond for a victim in their mid-30's who fell 20 feet and was unconscious, and suffering from a impaled object. Holbrook Engine-1 responded to the scene to assist the ambulance. Abington Car-2 secured the landing zone at the Woodsdale School until Abington Engine-3 was able to break free from their run. The victim was transported via Boston MedFlight to a Boston hospital. A Rockland engine company covered Abington's station during the incident. OSHA investigated the incident.
