  • I believe they are going to keep it as authentic as possible. It's on of the only rides in Disney World, I think, that hasn't has renovations. I don't think they would, unless it is in DIRE need of repairs.

  • They have changed it in Disneyland, slightly. In the style of the other dolls, they have added dolls from Disney and Pixar films. Some of them are very subtle (aladin and jasmine) while others are pretty obvious (nemo)

If you look up pictures for disney hong kong (where this concept was first used) you can see how it looks.

Like I said, only additions. It's nice for the little ones!

  • The band was amazing

Yes he was, though that had nothing to do with his death, which came on December 15, 1966, from lung cancer. Doctors actually expected him to live well into 1967, and even possibly saee the Pirates of the Caribbean ride, which was the final project on which he worked a significant amount. So his death came much sooner than expected. The final film he made was supposedly the "EPCOT film", which was originally made to appease Florida legislators late in 1966.

Actually, this came from the Wonderful World of Disney episode "Disneyland Around the Seasons", which also featured, among other things, the opening of the attraction "Great Moments With Mr. Lincoln", as well as the opening of New Orleans Square. The episode actually aired for the first time three days AFTER Walt Disney died, and as a result, the original viewers of this episode never saw the first few minutes, as NBC instead did a tribute to Walt Disney.

  • @YourCartoonHero i know they widened the boats, not sure when though

  • I was 10 yrs old when it was introduced at the 1965 NY Worlds Fair. It was in the Pepsi Pavilion of the exhibition before being moved to the Disney Parks after the fair closed. I remember it well. The live animations were amazing but after 20 minutes of the same song and the same music on and on, you got the feeling you were being indoctrinated. A decade later, news spread that long hairs were banned from Disneyland. I never looked back. Sorry, Walt. Saved some money.

  • Too bad that water from across the world are now covered in spilt soda drinks.

  • The clock is scary.

  • @YourCartoonHero It went under renovation in 2004.

  • After taking this ride with your kids or grand kids try to get that song out of your head.

Even in the movie Shrek thay made fun of it.

  • Walt Disney needs to come back and punch all the current Disney people in the face.
